Be it known to all Saints, that I, Gilbor Iligan Camporazo, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, La Carlota City Branch, by which under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit and by the power of the Holy Ghost, have caused, made, and written this Epistle unto thee.
Behold, therefore, Elder Tolentino, thou art a “good shepherd” unto me. Thou sacrified thyself to find a “lost sheep”, that is me, among the vastness of the wilderness. And thou consecrated thy time, talents to bring me back unto thy Master’s fold, which is, God the Father.
It came to pass in the twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred eighty, thou baptized me.
Thou art my light. For without thee, lest darkness come upon me, for I walketh in darkness knoweth not whither I goeth.
Thou opened my eyes, and turned them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that I may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in God.
Thou inspired me and thou gavest these: for since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall be made alive.
Those thou gavest me I have kept, and none o them is lost.
The twenty first day of August in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred eighty marks thy work shall be finished which God gavest thee to do.
Behold, therefore, lift up your head, for the time is at hand.
When it shall come to pass, it is finished.
Then ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy that no man can taketh it from you.
Be of good cheer.
Remember always: My wife, and my son, and I do love you. We all love you.
Behold thou art thine brother. We generously giveth these unto you and encourage thee to treasure them up, thus, to forget not us no more;
Let the word of Christ dwell in thee richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another;
Remember without ceasing thy work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in thine Lord, Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and thine Father; Pray always;
Seek not for honor of the world, but for the glory of thine God, and the freedom
and welfare of thine country;
Keep thyself pure;
Have perfect love, for it is casteth out all fear;
Be cautious always, lest any man spoil thee through philosophy and vain deceit;
Let thy speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man;
Be vigilant and watchful, the devil is always lurking somewhere, as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour;
Be steadfast, be firmed; forget not even the beloved disciples of Christ were taken away out of the land, because of their iniquity;
Be not overcome evil, but overcome evil with good;
Put off all these: Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of thy mouth.
Let the peace of God rule thine heart;
Set thy affection on things above, not on thing on earth;
Obey thy parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the Lord;
When thee in trouble, obtain a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord;
Let all thy things be done with charity, which is the bond of perfectness; for charity never faileth;
Behold, I have many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee; but I have a confidence and an eye singleness to the glory of God I shall be seeing thee again and we shall speak face
to face in the Celestial Kingdom, if ourselves endureth to the end;
Lo and behold, I am vowing my head and paying respect to thee and am beseeching thy forgiveness of my shortcomings, embarrassment, transgressions, if any, which I have ever caused unto three – May myself be forgiven thee in Christ name’s sake;
Rejoice; keep on smiling evermore.
And now I bade unto thee goodbye but not farewell. And I close and end this up, affixing my signature below, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
